Kristin K. Smith Collaborates with Cheap Trick's Tom Petersson
Kristin K. Smith has spent the last year collaborating with Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer and Cheap Trick bass player Tom Petersson on a rock album designed to help with speech therapy for children with autism. She sings on the tracks and has assisted in recording vocal exercises to be added to the project. The CD release party at East Nashville's Family Wash was a huge success, and the project has gained support from Vanderbilt, the National Music Therapy Association and many others worldwide. Congratulations to 18 year old Peyton Parker who signed a publishing and artist development deal with the Grammy Award winning producer Charlie Peacock and Twenty Ten Music. Peyton joins the company of the Civil Wars, Margaret Becker, Amy Grant, Al Green, Switchfoot, Twila Paris and American Idol's Kris Allen who have all worked with Charlie over the years. She's been busy writing and playing live in both Georgia and Tennessee, and recently played her originals at the famous Bluebird Cafe.
